At Caring Hearts Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPEC), our center environment is home-like, warm, and happy. The delivery of care is prescribed by the child’s pediatrician and provided by Registered Nurses, Therapists and other healthcare professionals. Our center opens at 7:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Our staff collaborates with the child’s family, doctors, and case managers to best meet the needs of each individual child. We are able to care for children with a wide range of medical problems ranging from children in need of medications and or breathing treatments during the day to those on ventilators or requiring IV therapy.

Caring Hearts has available transportation for the children and their families to and from the center. Caring Hearts’ Director of Nursing works with the transportation team to assess the needs of the child during transportation. Depending on the level of care needed, the child will be assigned to the appropriate route at times with a medical escort and driver.
